The 12-inch statuette, which comes absolute with Jobs's trade name blue jeans, sneakers and black neckline sweater, was made by Chinese company In Icons and was set for release in February. Apple allegedly lay down in a letter to the Chinese maker that any toy that similarity the technology firm's insignia, person's name, appearance or resemblance of its products is a criminal offence.
Online-auctioning site eBay is already selling the plastic doll at $135 each. The general retail price would have been $99.

The doll also has an extra pair of hands, which can be substituted to make the figure point in a classic Steve Jobs gesture.
Apple stopped the sale of an earlier Steve Jobs action figure by company MiC Gadget in 2010.
