I have to commend the Express-News for standing by their policy that they will report on any of their employees who commit a crime.
An editorial assistant and reporter with San Antonio Express-News was arrested early Sunday and charged with driving while intoxicated with an open alcohol container.
Desiree Canela, 26, was arrested at the intersection of McCullough Avenue and Basse Road about 1:30 a.m. According to a police report, Canela had been driving 48 mph in a 35 mph zone and was swerving before an officer pulled her vehicle over.
Canela was released from Bexar County jail that morning after posting $1,000 bail.
