In honor of Dr. King

We honor Martin Luther King by celebrating his birthday tomorrow.

Many folks don't get it.  Many resent it. 

But say what you will; he made this country a much better place and made it truer to the ideals promulgated by the Constitution.

Schools, banks to close Monday for MLK Day

A list of closures in observance of Monday’s Martin Luther KingJr. holiday:
• City, state and federal offices will be closed.

• New Braunfels Public Library will be closed.

• Public parks are open, but the paid attractions (such asmini-golf) are closed for the season.

• All solid waste and recycle services will be running on a normalschedule.

• The recycle center is not open on Mondays.

• Federal post offices will be closed.

• Banks will be closed.

• Comal ISD and New Braunfels ISD schools will be closed.
