HTC has utilized exclusive rights it acquired from Google last week to lodge a new complaint against Apple with the US International Trade Commission (ITC).
It has accused that Apple's computers and mobile devices violate copyrights involving wi-fi ability and processor communication technology.
This is the third objection that HTC has filed against Apple.
"We are taking this action against Apple to safe our intellectual asset, our industry allies, and most significantly our clients that use HTC phones," said Grace Lei, general counsel of HTC.
HTC is not the only smartphone manufacturer engaged in a legal fight with Apple.
Samsung Electronics, which manufactures the Galaxy of smartphones and tablet PCs, has also been fighting a legal battle against Apple.
It is becoming an Apple against Android war. Google is attempting to endeavor a proxy battle with Apple by way of its licensees like HTC”
Apple has filed protests against the South Korean maker, blaming it of violating its exclusive rights. It said that Samsung had imitated the design and look of Apple's iPhone and iPad devices.
Samsung has contradict-sued Apple, stating it violated Samsung's wireless patents.
Both HTC and Samsung utilize Google's Android operating system in the largest part of their smartphones.
Experts said that HTC's newly legal action, which uses exclusive rights it obtained from Google, whows that the skirmish is becoming a much largest issue than just a common fight between two big makers.
"It is converting an Apple opposed to Android war," Tim Charlton of Charlton Media Group told the BBC.
"Google is attempting to battle a proxy war with Apple through its licensees such as HTC." he said.
Andrew Milroy of Frost & Sullivan further said that tighter teamwork between HTC, Samsung and Google would produce a strong opponent to Apple.
"I observe them being in a very strong position if they hold together to take on Apple," he said. "Google plus Samsung plus HTC is a very big power to battle against."
Apple has alleged Samsung of violating its copyrights with the Galaxy line of smartphones and tablets
The firms have been stepping up their legal action against each other this year.
And in the initial round, Apple looks to have acquired the upper hand.
Carolyn Wu, a spokeswoman for Apple said, "We consider rivalry is positive, but competitors should make their own genuine technology, not take ours.”
Last month, a court in the Netherlands disqualified Samsung from promoting three models of its Galaxy smartphones in many European states after Apple filed a allege for patent violation.
Prior this week, Samsung pulled out its new Galaxy Tab 7.7 from the IFA electronics fair in Berlin, one the world's biggest electronics fairs, after a court blocked sales of the product in Germany.
Immediately Apple is winning the patent war," Mr. Charlton said.
Experts said the reliability with which these firms have been taking legal action against each other was also a sign they may be utilizing it as a war tool.
"It looks it is being utilized as a weapon to fight, to slow down opponent products from coming out in the market," Frost & Sullivan's Mr. Milroy said.
Mr Milroy illustrated that the faster boost in the smartphone and tablet PC sector had converted the parts from being a niche market to a conventional one.
That, he said, had concluded in an enhanced push from numerous players for a largest market share.
"I suppose it will carry on as long as the market is increasing at this extra ordinary price," he said.
"Once the market comes on down fall, we will observe a return to conservative spirited methods."
