Apple suspends China iPhone store selling after fights

Apple has said it will close down the sale of all iPhone models from its stores in China, after big mobs interrupted the opening of the iPhone 4S.
 
In the Sanlitun area of Beijing, Apple store did not open on Friday after a large numbers of people gathered outside in expectation of the opening.

The people became uncontrollably, throwing eggs. Fights broke out with police.

China is the Global huge mobile phone market, and Apple's second-largest market.

The iPhone 4S, which has voice-triggered features, was being launched through authorized Apple stores in China for the first time.

Apple stated through a statement that it absolute not to initiate its store at Sanlitun "due to the biggest masses, and to make sure the security of our clients and workers".

It also said that it was tentative the sale of iPhones at all retail stores in Beijing and Shanghai "for the time being".

Though, Apple said Chinese consumers can still buy the phones either through the Apple online store or at China Unicom and other certified sellers.

The conclusion came in spite of the reality that other stores in Beijing and Shanghai opened without confrontation and described higher sales.

Apple said all iPhone 4Ss were now sold out in stores in China.

Masses started gathering outside of Apple stores during the night and early in the morning. Police were set out to the several of stores to assist control the people.

Eggs were thrown at Apple's Sanlitun store in Beijing after it failed to launch on Friday at 07:00 local time (23:00 GMT Thursday) as publicized.

When it was declared that the store would not be launched, there were shouts of "open the door" and "liar".


Clients at the Sanlitun store said they were saddened not to be walking away with any buying.
"I've been coming up here since yesterday afternoon, then this morning they say they won't be bought," a man in his 20s told Reuters TV. "They broke customers' hearts."

By about 10:00 local time in Beijing, the mobs had cleared the area in front of the store.

And consumers in New York reveal that when they made the same demand were told "I didn't locate any abortion centers." When Siri is inquired why it is anti-abortion she replies: "I just am."

Apple says Siri's incapability to pull up data was not deliberate, accusing the error on the reality it was still in beta, or testing, stage.

Now the American Civil Liberties Union has initiated a petition calling for Apple to stick the bug.

''Our clients desire to utilize Siri to locate all kinds of information and while it can locate a lot, it doesn't far ever find what you want,'' Apple spokeswoman Natalie Harrison said.

''These are not planned blunders meant to offend everybody, it merely means that, as we bring Siri from beta to a ultimate product, we find locations where we can do good, and we will in the coming weeks.''
