SN voices: U.S. soccer misses Olympics

It's not the World Cup, but missing the 2012 Olympics can't be a good sign for U.S. soccer. Was Team USA's U-23 squad's loss to El Salvador a fluke, or a worrisome totem of future frustration?

UTexas1990: "You know, baseball fans, that our record in Olympic baseball, when it was played, was not so hot. People in glass houses."

aazizi: "Too bad. There is a ton of talent on that squad. They just suffered from abysmal tactics and game management (bad coaching)."

nissancartech06: "We excel at every other sport but can't put together a good soccer team. I think part of the blame is it just isn't popular except as an Olympic sport, then everyone starts to care about it."
