Sometimes Lightning Does Strikes Twice

The MA Dept. of Revenue is up to its old tricks again and levied our bank account for every penny I had and then some. Essentially this was my rent money for April. So if we don't make that money in the next 2 1/2 weeks ("Sorry, Eddie, I can't make the rent. No, this isn't an April Fool's joke."), I'm looking once again at being homeless. Those of you who've been reading me for a while may recall this happened to me last June when they stole $754 out of my bank account then told me the only chance I had of getting it back was to provide them with a court-ordered eviction notice.

The irony is the child support order that supposedly legitimized this latest theft was rescinded, along with all back child support, by the custodial parent the day after Xmas last year. So, even though the order is no longer in effect and the back child support no longer collectible, they're still going after me as if the order's in effect. Calls to their 800 # just resulted in a screaming match and no progress was made and my bank is shrugging their shoulders and are powerless to help.

So whatever help you can send our way would be immensely, and I mean, immensely appreciated. I also just contracted an ISP and got a house phone at $44-48 a month to aid in our job search and just paid my $45 excise tax with a check I now can't cover.
