Dame Judi Dench has unveiled that her utmost regret in life is not having more kids..

The Oscar-triumphant actress, 76, has a daughter, Finty, but said she and her actor husband Michael Williams longed to provide her a sibling.

When they attempted to adopt a kid, they were turned down because authorities considered they were too old, Dame Judi said.

“I desire we’d had lots more toddlers,” she told Yours magazine.

“That’s the only regret I have. But I was older and it didn’t occur. We endeavored to adopt a child and they didn’t be keen on it because we were above 40 years and

Michael was a Catholic and I was a Quaker. It certainly wasn’t to be.”

Dame Judi gave birth to Finty when she was 37, further said that she took maternity so gravely that she even thought ending her acting profession to take care of her.

“I’d had a daughter and having a family, I desired to be at home. Michael wouldn’t let me bring to an end though.

“In the starting I tried my best to place things so that I was with her in the day and going to the theatre in the evening when she was in bed.

“Afterward, when she went to school, I could do things like TV during the day to be with her in the evening.”

Williams passed away in 2001 after a longer fight with cancer and Dame Judi is now dating David Mills, an ecologist.
