Happy Birthday, Hun
Published by Julia Volkovah under on 1:19 PMOne year ago today was one of the happiest days of my life. I had my grandson Gavin over for one glorious hour and documented it all right here (Try calling the police on me over my posting a year-old link, my darling ex, and see what happens).
July 7th also happens to be Mrs. JP's birthday. Well, today, I didn't have my grandson over but that's OK. I can live with his absence... for now...
Today is the first time I got to celebrate Mrs. JP's birthday with her here since she didn't arrive until late July last year.
The lead picture shows her appreciating her card. Put a yellow lab eating birthday cake on the front and you have a guaranteed winner. Here, I don't remember what she's opening up but it may be the one Andrew Vacchs's Burke novel she's never read.
I think she'd just opened up her autographed Kevin Millar Red Sox trading card.
Here, she'd just opened up her Lake Elsinore Storm hat. They're a minor league team. I'd never heard of them, either, but they have a really cool hat.
Not recorded for posterity is her opening up her INXS DVD.
Thank goodness for Amazon wish lists. I already took her out for a breakfast at Panera bread, picked up the cake and we're now going out for dinner. Blogging can wait another 24 hours. This is one of those days where one has to put political points aside and concentrate on those who do appreciate us and whom we appreciate in turn just for their very presence.
Try to stay cool, guys. We'll be back in town raising hell tomorrow morning.
