AFA Focuses on Only One Type of Family

You got it. Donald Wildmon's wild men of the AFA are focusing on teh fag families and have called for a boycott of Home Depot for sponsoring two gay pride parades.
Here's a sample of this "action item":
Gay pride events have a long track record for offensive public displays of homosexual conduct. Obviously, Home Depot is OK with the idea of exposing children to an unhealthy and risky environment. So much so, it is willing to also celebrate it by participating in its promotion.
Next to that paragraph is a picture of two little boys holding a sign that unheathily says, "I love my two Dads." As for the "risky" part, we can only infer undertones that seem to reference possible pedophile action.
Apparently, to Wildmon and his wild men, "offensive public displays of homosexual conduct" includes marching down public streets to show the community that you have self-respect and empowerment.
Why they're picking on just Home Depot when Bank of America also underwrote the festivities is beyond me. Maybe it had something to do with the fact that Home Depot also was a corporate sponsor for the Boston Gay Pride Parade.
Whatever. It's amazing that these evangelical jerkoffs haven't been laughed off the planet earth for stubbornly taking up a plainly losing cause such as gay rights. In fact, these Bible-humping bozos and those who subscribe to the AFA's toxically stupid newsletter seem to be predicating their entire opposition to gay rights on their obsession with gay sex.
Well, one person's sex life is no one else's business unless they choose to make it so. So we're seeing essentially one rigid class of people suffering from rigor mortis of the intellect discriminating against another class of people based on something they do behind closed doors.
So why do they obsess over gay sex? Well, it may not be as pathological as we may think. Gay sex is simply a bigger target.
You see, as with heterosexual relations, gay sex is still a matter of choice and that's the part these evangelicals focus on, the part that actually involves free choice and volition. And if gay sex is a matter of choice, well then, by Jehovah, living teh gay lifestyle must also be a matter of choice, right?
Well, those of us in the reality-based community and who have actually met gay people without whitening our knuckles as we grip the nearest doorknob know that living as a gay person is not a matter of choice, that in the overwhelming majority of cases, gay people are born gay. This is Gay Ed 101 for those of us in the know. But to evangelicals, some of the stupidest carbon-based wastes of trace elements this planet has ever produced, this seems to elude them.
Because what isn't elective and a matter of choice is... with whom we fall in love. Ah, you see, that's a much slippier slope, trying to convince others that human love for that special someone isn't legitimate. Love for another affirms our humanity and usually validates and legitimizes our sexual identities.
Their opposition to gay marriage, therefore, makes even less sense when you realize that gay couples get married to those whom they love just like straight people. After all, sex plays only a part of any marriage or relationship so at some point, actual love that exists in and of itself has to be involved, right?
But then again, no one ever said that psychopaths like Don Wildmon, Tony Perkins and James Dobson ever subscribed to reason.
