Steve Jennings of 'Motherwell' held on Gambling allegations

Jennings was give away a red card with eight minutes lasting of the 2-1 success for Hearts over Motherwell in December and the 26-year-old was captured at his home by Merseyside on Thursday police who are observing into abused gambling wrongdoings on the game.
An announcement from the Scottish FA Stewart Regan, Scottish FA chief executive, read: "The Scottish FA has got notice from the Gambling Commission that the Motherwell FC player, Steve Jennings, was held at his home today by Merseyside Police. This go behind widespread investigation in linking to claimed gambling misdeeds at a Scottish Premier League match between Motherwell and Hearts on December 14, 2010.
"While the prosecution grips numerous other players out with Scotland, it is significant to strain that the witness collected all over this systematic period of prosecution has engaged only one Scottish match.
"Motherwell FC is familiar of the condition and will issue a reaction in due course. The Scottish FA will make no additional remarks at this level."
Jennings joined Motherwell from Tranmere in 2009 and has so far to make a comment of his own.
