Published by Julia Volkovah under Grozny, Hollywood Celebrities, Mr. Kadyrov, Vladimir Putin on 6:03 AMRamzan Kadyrov, Chechen leader, has arranged a star-studded party in his capital Grozny - but refused it was something to do with his 35th birthday.
Guests flown in for the event integrated Hollywood Celebrities Hilary Swank, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Kevin Costner and the violinist, Vanessa Mae.
Mr. Kadyrov had banned all public festivities of his 35th birthday.
But it just so happens to match with Grozny City Day, the birthday of the founding of the city.
The Chechen head had said his birthday should not be celebrated, and had advised that any official endeavoring to give him a present would be dismissed.
The factual position was quite different.
'Happy birthday Mr. President'
In Grozny, which just a few years earlier had been declined to debris by two fighting, a laser show lit up sparkly fresh skyscrapers, while Chechen sword dancers spun around on a huge stage.
With Mr. Kadyrov watching in the front row, on came the Hollywood stars.
Initial was Belgian martial arts movie actor Jean-Claude Van Damme, who finished his address by shouting: "I love you Mr Kadyrov!"
Hillary Swank, Hollywood actress was then on stage.
"Happy birthday Mr. President," she said.
And after violinist Vanessa Mae performed. She is reported to have been paid $500,000 (£324,000) to participation.
When asked where all the finances were arranging from, Mr. Kadyrov laughed.
"Allah gives it to us," he told reporters.
The presentation of the Western superstars is likely to annoyed human rights supporters who blame the Chechen warlord and his forces of violence and killings of his enemies.
They say he has turned Chechnya into his own fiefdom with a sect of personality.
His father Akhmad Kadyrov switched sides between the two Chechen battles, assisting Russia to win the second clash.
In payback he was murdered by a biggest bomb attack by Islamist insurgents in 2004.
Ramzan Kadyrov is a firmed ally of the Russian Prime Minister, Vladimir Putin.
