A proposed plan for a mammouth fireworks display over Gaza to celebrate a hoped-for impending truce between Hamas and Israel has been shelved by planners. "This was a deeply misjudged plan," said Jeff Bryann of the Israeli pyrotechnics company SmashFX - "It just didn't occur to us that loud explosions and bright flashes may actually bring back traumatic flashbacks for the people of Gaza. We meant well and we are sorry."
