Zimmerman followed the other driver, Daniel Osmun, into Lake Mary.

Osmun accused Zimmerman of tailgating and aggressive driving, and Zimmerman followed him and reported his tag number.

In Oct. 2003, Zimmerman called 911 and reported witnessing a theft at an Albertson's on Lake Emma Road in Lake Mary. Zimmerman followed the alleged culprits, "apparently giving chase."
Deputies caught up with the thieves, who had confessed to stealing two 13-inch televisions.

In Dec 2008, Zimmerman applied to attend the Citizens Law Enforcement Academy. He offered info that he was arrested July 2005 in an incident involving undercover UCF officers.

The murder detective tasked with investigating the death of unarmed teenager Trayvon Martin wanted to charge George Zimmerman with manslaughter but was overruled by prosecutors, it was reported last night.

Investigator Chris Serino was told not press charges against the neighbourhood watch captain by lawyers in Florida's state attorney's office, who said there was not enough evidence to secure a conviction, ABC News reported.

Mr Zimmerman, 28, was briefly taken to a police station in Sanford after the killing last month but was released on the same night after several hours of questioning.

He told detectives that he had opened fire in self defence after the 17-year-old attacked him and officers were left with no choice but to release him.

Police sources told the broadcaster that Mr Serino filed an affidavit the same night where he said he was unconvinced by Mr Zimmerman's story.

However, prosecutors said that there was not enough evidence to prove the shooter had acted outside of the state's controversial "Stand Your Ground" laws.

The state attorney's office would not comment on the claim.

PHILADELPHIA (CN) - A wave of class actions against Google claims the search giant's new privacy policy, which aggregates information the company collects about users across various Google platforms, violates computer fraud and wiretap laws.

At least four class actions claim the new policy, which went into effect this month, is illegal under federal wiretapping law.

Google's corporate slogan is "Don't be Evil."

Google has long maintained a deep trove of information about its users.

Under its old policy, information collected about a consumer through one Google product was segregated from information gleaned from another Google product, plaintiffs say in the class actions.

But they say that all changed March 1, when Google ushered in its new era of digital surveillance: the Era of Commingling.

Under the new policy, data gathered about a consumer through one Google product will be commingled with data collected about that consumer through other Google products, plaintiffs say.

Google announced: "Our new Privacy Policy makes clear that, if you're signed in, we may combine information you've provided from one service with information from other services.

As seen at Left, the shirt has a picture of George Zimmerman and the words “Pussy Ass Cracker.” Zimmerman, a 28-year-old Hispanic, killed Martin, 17, last month while acting as a neighborhood watch captain in Sanford, Florida.

The shirt’s “pussy ass cracker” line is apparently a reference to lyrics from the rapper Plies’s song “100 Years,” which bemoans stiff sentences handed out by racist judges. Source

Former NAACP leader C.L. Bryant is accusing Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton of “exploiting” the Trayvon Martin tragedy to “racially divide this country.”

“His family should be outraged at the fact that they’re using this child as the bait to inflame racial passions,” Rev. C.L. Bryant said in a Monday interview with The Daily Caller.

The conservative black pastor who was once the chapter president of the Garland, Texas NAACP called Jackson and Sharpton “race hustlers” and said they are “acting as though they are buzzards circling the carcass of this young boy.”

Jackson, for example, recently said Martin’s death shows how “blacks are under attack” and “targeting, arresting, convicting blacks and ultimately killing us is big business.” (SEE ALSO: Jesse Jackson says Trayvon Martin ‘murdered and martyred’)

George Zimmerman, a neighborhood watch captain, killed Martin, a 17-year-old black man who was unarmed at the time of his death, last month. Zimmerman has claimed to have shot Martin in self-defense and has not been charged with a crime.

But Bryant, who explores the topic of black-on-black crime in his new film “Runaway Slave,” said people like Jackson and Sharpton are being misleading to suggest there is an epidemic of “white men killing black young men.”

“The epidemic is truly black on black crime,” Bryant said. “The greatest danger to the lives of young black men are young black men.” more

Trayvon Martin was suspended from school three times in the months before he was shot dead by a neighborhood watchman, it emerged today.

The new claims, revealed in a leaked school report, paint a different picture of a teenager who frequently found himself in trouble with authorities.

It was also revealed that he might have attacked a bus driver, according to a tweet reportedly sent by his cousin.

The Miami Herald claims that in October, he was caught with a 'burglary tool' - a flathead screwdriver - and 12 pieces of women's jewellery. Martin insisted that they did not belong to him.

Earlier, he had been suspended for skipping school and showing up late to class. And most recently, in February, he was suspended again when officials found a 'marijuana pipe' and an empty baggie with traces of marijuana.

Sanford, Florida (CNN) -- That George Zimmerman, a neighborhood watch captain, shot and killed 17-year-old Trayvon Martin is not in dispute. Everything else is -- from the circumstances, to the motivation -- sparking a national debate about race, and coast-to-coast demands for justice.

On Tuesday, Martin's parents will attend a forum on racial profiling, hate crime issues and "stand your ground" deadly force laws organized by Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee.

Ahead of the forum, protesters plan to march to the White House demanding a federal investigation. A CNN/ORC International poll has found that nearly three-fourths of Americans -- including 67% of whites and 86% of nonwhites -- believe Zimmerman should be arrested.

From the halls of Capitol Hill to the streets of America's cities, the case has generated widespread outrage, which was on display Monday in more than dozen cities, from Atlanta to San Francisco.

A senior Pentagon official ordered an emergency review of the military's use of an anti-malaria drug known to have severe psychiatric side effects - nine days after the Afghan massacre in which a U.S. solider allegedly shot dead 17 civilians including nine children, it has been alleged.

The notorious drug Mefloquine, also known as Lariam, has been implicated in a number of suicides and homicides in the military spanning back more than ten years, with side effects including paranoia, hallucinations and psychotic behaviour.

It is now being suggested that Staff Sgt Robert Bales, who is accused of the shooting, may have taken the drug before the March 11 massacre.

The military has used the drug for years despite its known side effects and in 2009, they almost banned it due to its dangers. But a subsequent order suggested its use should be restricted and not given to soldiers who have suffered a traumatic brain injury. Read More

The mother of slain Trayvon Martin recently filed a trademark to protect the rights to his name as an attempt to control- and collect funds from- the masses of merchandise being produced in support of their cause.

It was revealed today that Sabrina Fulton, the boy’s mother, filed two petitions last week to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to specifically gain the rights to the phrases ‘I Am Trayvon’ and ‘Justice For Trayvon’, both of which have been frequently used by protesters across the country.

The trademark application shows that she is specifically looking for control of the use of those phrases on CDs and DVDs that feature her deceased son.

Interestingly, the application makes no mention of other merchandise that may use those phrases, and t-shirts and hoodie sweatshirts are notably absent from the listing, meaning that she would not collect any monetary payment if someone were to sell clothes with those words on them.

Trayvon Martin was allegedly suspended from school when security officers found what they described as a 'burglary tool' and women’s jewellery in his backpack.

But the revelation in a school report obtained by the Miami Herald has been condemned by Trayvon's family as part of a campaign to demonise their son by supporters of neighbourhood watch captain George Zimmerman.

The 17-year-old's mother, whose unarmed son was shot dead by Zimmerman in a their gated community, said: 'They killed my son and now they're trying to kill his reputation'.

Although the school officialy suspended in October Martin for grafitti, after he and some friends wrote ‘W.T.F.’ on a school locker, the Herald implies that the real reason was the 'burglary tool' - a flathead screwdriver - and jewellery. Martin insisted that they did not belong to him.

The boy’s parents say that they have never heard about the detail about the screw driver and jewellery, and their lawyers say that it is a blatant attempt to ‘demonize’ the youth.

According to an October report of the incident by the Miami Dade Schools Police, obtained by the Miami Herald, Trayvon never received any punishment for the jewellery because he said it was not his and it belonged to a friend. Read More

Among the labyrinthine streets with their rows of semi-detached, 1930s houses perched on a windswept hill in the west of Dewsbury, the whisper was that their former neighbour, who drugged and kidnapped her own daughter, would not survive the beating if she ever again dared to set foot in their midst.

Despite the passage of four years — Matthews has served only half her sentence — the inhabitants of Dewsbury Moor estate are still struggling to come to terms with just how comprehensively they were hoodwinked by the single mother who, on a cold February afternoon, claimed that someone had snatched her nine-year-old daughter, Shannon.

But given the callous nature of this calculating woman, their lingering fury will probably mean little to her.

The mother of seven children by five different men is more interested in preparing for life on the outside, possibly with a new identity and inevitably in a new location.

It remains to be seen just how much contact she will have with her offspring, many of whom have now settled into lives without her.

A mother-of-six is demanding an NHS weight loss operation, despite admitting she has spent her life binging on junk food.

Sara Agintas, tips the scales at a hefty 33 stone, but insists tax payers should fork out for the £14,000 operation because she’s now too fat to work and can't fit on a plane seat to go on holiday.

Mrs Agintas, 43, from Milton Keynes, admits to downing 12 'small' cans of lager a day when she was pregnant, but complained in Closer magazine, that she put on weight after each pregnancy because she found it 'too hard to diet' and says exercise 'hurt.'

Wearing a size 36-38, she used to spend up to £200 a week on takeaways, but admitted 'I can’t work because I’m too fat to fit in an office chair and can only stand for two minutes at a time.'

Part of the reason Mrs Agintas wants to downsize, is because she wants to go on holiday, but would need two seats on the plane.

She is mother to Gemma, 25, Lauren, 21, Thomas, 18, Sam, 13, Hannah, 12, and Zoe, nine.

Her husband and six children receive £17,000 a year in benefits.

The crisis hitting Rupert Murdoch's News Corp is spreading as the U.S. Department of Justice monitors alleged hacking at two of the company's European satellite television firms.

Two alleged incidents of hacking in Britain and Italy came to light today as American authorities get increasingly more involved in investigating the scandal.

A decade ago, a German hacker reportedly obtained codes belonging to British Sky Broadcasting rival ONDigital, which folded in 2002.

The hacker, Oliver Koermmerling, said on BBC1's Panorama programme last night that he was recruited by News Corp-owned NDS and its head of security, Ray Adams.

It is alleged that Adams supplied the codes obtained by Koermmerling to illegal download site, The House of Ill Compute to distribute ONDigital's services for free. Read More

According to the New York Times, “The Fed is concerned that it is neither loved nor understood by many Americans, and that public anger could lead to constraints on its powers.”

A close look at his actual presentation, augmented by slides, confirms his attempt to direct the students’ attention away from the Fed’s obvious dangers, faults, and failures and instead concentrate on its alleged virtues.

Michigan and Oakland County would get millions of dollars under a judge's ruling Friday that national mortgage giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac illegally withheld real estate transfer taxes on foreclosed properties they sold from 2006 to 2011.

U.S. District Judge Victoria Roberts' ruling could open the door to all the 82 other Michigan counties that weren't a part of the original lawsuit.

Fannie and Freddie contended they were exempt from the tax as quasi-government entities. Individuals who sell a home, however, must pay the tax, which amounts to $860 on the sale of a $100,000 property.

The case has attracted national attention in light of the mortgage foreclosure crisis in the U.S. In this case alone, Oakland County Treasurer Andy Meisner estimates that the county is owed up to $4 million from Freddie and Fannie, while the state could be owed up to $20 million for mortgage transactions in Oakland County from 2006 through 2011. PREVIOUSLY: A student was shot to death at a Mississippi State University residence hall late Saturday night, prompting campus-wide alerts as authorities searched for suspects who fled the scene. The university held a press conference Sunday morning at 10 a.m. to release more details.

Bill Kibler, vice president of student affairs, stated the victim's name is John Sanderson, age 21, from Madison, MS. Sanderson is a first year student at MSU and transferred there from Holmes Community College.

The 911 call was placed at 9:54 p.m. Saturday night, and police arrived at Evans Hall within minutes. The shooting occurred in a first floor dorm room.

Sanderson was transported by ambulance to Oktibbeha County Hospital Regional Medical Center around 10:20 and was declared dead there at around 11:30 p.m.

Evans Hall, which houses about 300 male students, has security cameras at each entrance. That video footage has been downloaded and turned over to police. Dorm residents have to go through three separate key card entrances before reaching a residence room.

Three African American male suspects reportedly fled the scene in a blue Crown Victoria. Authorities believe the suspects fled the campus and probably the city of Starkville. Twenty four students from adjacent rooms were relocated after the shooting primarily to preserve the crime scene. A gun was recovered on campus but authorities did not say where it was found.

A scandal that began with an act of vigilantism is threatening to breed more of the same, after a weekend of escalating tension saw militant activists announce a $10,000 (£6,300) reward for the "capture" of black teenager Trayvon Martin's killer.

George Zimmerman, a neighbourhood watch volunteer who followed and then shot the unarmed boy, had the bounty publicly placed on his head during a protest in Sanford, the Florida commuter town where Trayvon died.

It was announced by Mikhail Muhammad, leader of a small militant organisation called the New Black Panther Party, who said he was seeking up to 10,000 black men willing to form a militia to find Mr Zimmerman and administer what they regard as justice.

Asked if he was inciting violence, Mr Muhammad said: "An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth." To the sound of cheers from followers, who wore black uniforms, he promised: "If the government won't do the job, we'll do it." Read More

The attorney counseling George Zimmerman, who shot unarmed black teenager Trayvon Martin as he was walking home from the store with a bag of Skittles, says if charges are filed, Zimmerman will argue that he acted in self-defense and that Florida's stand-your-ground law applies.

Attorney Craig Sonner said the public is only hearing part of the story, and when all the facts come out, it will be clear that Zimmerman acted in self defense. A grand jury is scheduled to begin hearing the case April 10.

"George Zimmerman suffered a broken nose, and had an injury to the back of his head, he was attacked by Trayvon Martin on that evening," Sonner said. "This was a case of self defense."
