One U.S.soldier and eight Afghans killed in 'remote controlled' bomb blast

A roadside bomb exploded moments after a security patrol arrived to defuse it in Afghanistan killing a U.S. soldier and eight Afghans.
The blast occurred in the southern Afghanistan's Kandahar province last night.
Afghan security personnel and U.S.-led coalition forces were about to defuse the improvised explosive device at Kohak village in Arghandab district.
