Conservative outrage builds over Obama's 'race-baiting' comments on shooting of unarmed black teen after President said 'If I had a son, he'd look lik

Conservative commentators have hit out against Barack Obama after he intervened in the case of Trayvon Martin, the unarmed black teenager shot dead by a Neighborhood Watch captain.

Michelle Malkin claimed that the President had 'poured gas on the fire' and instigated a 'blame game' after he said: 'If I had a son he’d look like Trayvon.'

And Rick Moran wrote on the American Thinker website that the 'race baiter' Mr Obama had 'dived head first into a racial controversy that has been blown far, far out of proportion.'
