Apple 'warns lawsuit' to a Chinese Firm over "Steve Jobs" action doll

The producers of an action figure with a weird similarity to the late Apple founder Steve Jobs are apparently being 'endangered with law suit action' by the computing giant.

The 12-inch statuette, which comes absolute with Jobs's trade name blue jeans, sneakers and black neckline sweater, was made by Chinese company In Icons and was set for release in February. But 'their endeavors have allegedly met with' a legal confrontation with Apple reportedly endangering to sue the toy manufacturer if not they stop trading.

The legal dispute is over the resemblance of the doll to the late Apple founder, the rights of which the company says it owns.

Apple allegedly lay down in a letter to the Chinese maker that any toy that similarity the technology firm's insignia, person's name, appearance or resemblance of its products is a criminal offence.

Online-auctioning site eBay is already selling the plastic doll at $135 each. The general retail price would have been $99.

The action form comes with a twosome of black socks, a few glasses, a leather belt, two apples (one with a bite taken out of it), a bar stool and a "One More Thing" backdrop. 

The doll also has an extra pair of hands, which can be substituted to make the figure point in a classic Steve Jobs gesture.

Apple stopped the sale of an earlier Steve Jobs action figure by company MiC Gadget in 2010.
