NB woman indicted on theft charge

NEW BRAUNFELS — According to an indictment handed up last weekby a Comal County grand jury, a 46-year-old New Braunfels womanstole tens of thousands of dollars from a local fence company overthe course of about a year and a half.

A grand jury indictment dated Jan. 4 accuses Mary Cook ofthird-degree felony theft of property with an aggregate valuebetween $20,000 and $100,000.

The charging document says Cook committed the crime “pursuant toone scheme and continuing course of conduct” from on or about Jan.1, 2010 through on or about July 31, 2011.
