Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has purchased a pair of glasses originally worn by actor Christopher Walken in the 1985 James Bond film "A View to a Kill". The glasses, worn by Bond villain Max Zorin, were sold by the Sotheby's auction house on Thursday for $1.5 million - the winning bid was later confirmed to have originated from Mr Putin.

"I have always been a big fan of Max Zorin," said Putin later "He has been somewhat misunderstood over the years."
